Quantum Leap was first aired on the 26th of March 1989 and ended on the 5th of May 1993. It tackles the exploits of a scientist who develop a top-secret project known as the Quantum Leap named Dr. Sam Beckett.
Dr. Beckett theorizing that one could travel time within his own lifetime and so he led a group of elite scientists into the desert and develop a project for it. He was pressured to prove that his theories where right and losing fund, Dr. Beckett stepped into the project accelerator and vanished. He awoke and find himself trapped in the past and face the mirror that were not his own. His only guide through this journey is Al. He is and observer from his own time and appears in a form of a hologram that only Dr. Beckett can see and hear. And so Dr. Beckett leaps from life to life and put right what once went wrong and hoping that the next will be the Leap home.
