Spenser: For Hire was premiered on the 20th of September 1985 and lasted on the 7th of May 1988. It has three (3) seasons with sixty-six (66) episodes. The series was based on the novel written by Robert B. Parker entitled Spencer.
Spenser was played by Robert Urich. He was a private investigator operated in Boston and always involved with such mysteries often a murder. With the use of his experience, natural talents and a bit of help from his friend Hawk played by Avery Brooks, Spenser never fails to crack and solve the mysteries.
Joining them are Spenser's girlfriend Susan played by Barbara Stock which is a psychiatrist, Lt. Marty Quirk from the police department also gave a bit of help to Spenser, Rita Fiore played by Carolyn McCormick the assistant of the D.A. And Sgt. Frank Belson who doesn't appreciate his interference.
