Friday the 13th the series, a suspense drama that ran for three consecutive seasons, it had premiered on October 3, 1987 until the finale on May 26, 1990. The series aired weekdays at 8:00AM and 6:00PM eastern time and Sundays at 9:00AM and 6:00PM eastern time which launched by NBC Universal. Sean Cunningham was the director while Victor Miller wrote the story of this television series and it was produced by Frank Mancuso Jr. The series is originally came from the title "The 13th hour".

The series revolved on three different seasons; initially the story was about camp Crystal Lake where two summer camp councilors had killed on the lake. When it re-opened the lake to public habit it also opens the mysterious murder that happens before. The story is originally come from the web novels of Eric Morse as one of his series novels.
