Chico and the Man DVD
Chico and the Man debuted in 1974 on NBC. The setting was East Los Angeles in a small run down garage. The owner, Ed Brown, became partners in the business with a young Chicano, Chico Rodriguez.
Chico And The Man was a worthy sitcom-with-a-message, unfortunately mostly remembered today for the 'suicide'.
Chico And The Man depicted a surrogate father-son relationship between a cantankerous, irascible, sarcastic garage owner, Ed Brown, and the young, keen Chicano, Chico, who comes to work for him.
