Gargoyles is a Walt Disney Company animated television series aired for two seasons with a total of 65 episodes from October 24, 1994 to May 15, 1996. It was produced by Greg Weisman and Frank Paur as part of the Disney Afternoon block. The series focused on a clan of Gargoyles led by Goliath. Gargoyles is a nocturnal species that turns to stone during the day. The clan lives in a castle in Medieval Scotland. Many of the members were killed and the rest are magically frozen in stone until the castle arises above the clouds. Brooklyn, Broadway and Lexington are some of the warriors of the clan. When a billionaire named David Xanatos purchased the castle, Goliath, together with a NYPD detective, Elisa Maza stop David from creating a robotic gargoyles army. The voice behind the animated show includes Marina Sirtris, Michael Dorn, Brent Spinner and Jonathan Frakes.
