Adventure of Superman is a fantasy-science fiction movie series which gives prominence in comic book superhero. The series ran for 104 episodes from September 19, 1952 to April 28, 1958 produced by Whitney Ellsworth and Robert J. Maxwel. It starred George Reeves as Clark Kent and Superman and Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane,his leading lady but in the second season (1953), Noel Neill steps to her role. Clark Kent is a Daily Planet reporter who masquerades as Superman who battles villains in the fictional city Metropolis. The Man of Steel fights crime with help from his friends at the Daily Planet. The series won no major awards but remains popular today because of its advanced visual effects. |
